Drake J. Brown is an accomplished attorney at Austin Hagee Law Firm. Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Drake completed his Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Houston School of Law, where he participated in the Blakely-Butler Moot Court Competition as a semi-finalist. Prior to law school, Drake earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating summa cum laude. In recognition of his academic achievements, Drake was awarded the UTSA Institute of Law and Public Affairs Ray Coleman Jr. Award.

Following law school, Drake began his legal career in civil litigation, representing both businesses and individuals as plaintiff and defense counsel. His passion for helping people led him to later shift his focus to criminal defense.

Drake honed his skills in criminal law at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office in Bexar county as an intern in 2016. During his time at the DA’s office, Drake worked to help build case files and learned how a case file is built and prosecuted.

Whether a case is built on poor evidence or needs to be litigated and tried, Drake stands ready to fight for his client’s rights. As a San Antonio native, he considers it an honor to represent his community as an advocate and guide.

In addition to his legal pursuits, Drake enjoys staying physically active through training and working out, and he is particularly fond of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He also enjoys attending car shows and spending quality time with his loved ones. Lastly, he is, of course, a big fan of Champagne Papi.
