About Kyra Falcone
Kyra Falcone is a highly driven associate attorney at the Austin Hagee Law Firm. Kyra graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law where she excelled academically and demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities. Her experience as the managing executive editor of The Scholar: Law Review on Race & Social Justice, has played a vital role in allowing her to promote legal discourse on important issues of race and social justice.
During law school, Kyra was awarded the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic performance. She was also an active participant in the St. Mary’s National Moot Court Team, sharpening her oral advocacy skills and furthering her understanding of legal argumentation.
Prior to law school, Kyra earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Government and a double minor in Business and Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin. Her commitment to excellence extended beyond academics as she was a valued member of the University of Texas NCAA Women’s Soccer Team, where she showcased her dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Her outstanding achievements led to her inclusion on the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll, highlighting her ability to balance her athletic and academic responsibilities effectively.
As a law student, Kyra gained practical legal experience at the St. Mary’s Criminal Justice Clinic, where she worked as a student attorney. In this role, she refined her skills in drafting writs of habeas corpus for criminal appeals and pro bono wrongful convictions. Additionally, she had the opportunity to represent indigent clients at the trial level, prepare pre-trial motions and engage in oral advocacy.
Kyra continued gaining valuable experience by working as a law clerk at a prominent San Antonio criminal defense firm. In this position, she furthered her skills in drafting writs of habeas corpus for criminal appeals and pro bono wrongful convictions, conducted legal research, and provided support during client meetings.
With her well-rounded background, strong work ethic, and dedication to justice, Kyra Falcone has hit the ground running in the field of criminal defense law.
